Google has introduced a major initiative aimed at supporting AI education in Pakistan by offering 45,000 scholarships to Pakistani students. These scholarships are intended to equip individuals with the latest AI skills through the Google AI Essentials course.
Designed specifically for beginners without prior AI experience, the Google AI Essentials course provides essential skills to boost productivity. It includes practical exercises with different AI tools, enabling students to learn how to leverage AI for generating ideas and streamlining daily tasks efficiently.
Accessible on Coursera in English, the course covers various topics, such as crafting effective prompts and using AI responsibly by identifying potential biases. Moreover, participants have the chance to earn Google Career Certificates (GCC), which prepare them for entry-level positions in fields like Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, or Digital Marketing, offering hands-on experience in applying AI in professional settings.
In partnership with the Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA), Google has also launched multiple programs to assist freelancers in honing their skills, thereby contributing to the advancement of the AI ecosystem in Pakistan.
